Dancing at the Desmond with Melinda & Paul

The Desmond Great Valley Hotel & Conference Center in Malvern, PA is an awesome location to host the celebration of the most special day in your life. Melinda & Paul enjoyed each and every minute of their reception, and could not have stopped smiling even if they tried !

The first time I met Melinda & Paul, I knew that their reception was going to be a blast. They didn't leave the dance floor from the moment the music began until the very last song ! Their evening began with a lavish cocktail hour in the lounge before their guests entered the Grand Ballroom. Before dinner was served, Melinda & Paul shared their first dance, and the Maid of Honor & Best Man toasted (and roasted) the newlyweds. Between dinner courses, Melinda welcomed her Grandfather, and Paul welcomed his Mother to the dance floor for special dances. After dinner, they cut their cakes (Melinda surprised Paul with a unique "grooms cake"), and the dancing began. Half way through the night, Melinda tossed her bouquet, and Paul threw his football.....with Melinda's garter wrapped around it... a pretty cool twist on the average "garter toss"!

Special songs for the night:

Introductions:  "Ghosts n' Stuff" by Deadmau5
First Dance:  "Then" by Brad Paisley
Grandfather & Bride Dance: "Delaney Talks to Statues" by Jimmy Buffett
Mother & Groom Dance:   "A Song for My Son" by Mikki Viereck
Cake Cutting:   "Somebody to Love" by Justin Bieber
Bouquet Toss:  "Single Ladies" by Beyonce
Garter Removal:  "Big Pimpin'" by Jay Z
Garter Toss: "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys

Jean Marie & Michael's Wedding Reception at The Columbia Station

The month of March came to a close with an awesome celebration at Robert Ryan Catering's Columbia Station in Phoenixville, PA. I ALWAYS enjoy entertaining at the Columbia Station, as the facility is amazing and the staff members are always a pleasure to work along side! Jean Marie & Michael wed at a nearby church, and then arrived at the Columbia Station along with their 160 guests consisting of family and close friends.  The evening began with cocktails and hors d'oeurves in the lounge area, and then dinner and dancing in the main ballroom. Jean Marie & Michael's color theme was red and silver for their special day, so I decorated the ballroom with red LED uplighting for the majority of their reception, and then changed the lighting to "sound-active" mode for the last hour, raising the energy level and ambiance of the ballroom.

Gina & Matthew's Wedding at The Talamore Country Club

Gina & Matthew were an awesome couple to work with! During the early planning stages of their wedding, Matthew's cousin, DJ Gaetano Bosco (A renowned Philadelphia area club & mobile DJ.... and a good friend of mine as well)  recommend they engage me as their entertainment director.

Their wedding day began with a lovely ceremony in the Monet Garden Room at the Talamore Country Club in Ambler, PA. The guest then enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeurves on the Mezzanine in the magnificent Conservatory Ballroom. Lauren & Tim Fair of Lauren Fair Photography are always a pleasure to work with, and captured many memories through out the night.

The Ballroom looked amazing with the combination of a brand new marble dance floor (only 2 weeks old!) and 16 LED uplights which I strategically placed around the room. The reception began with formal  introductions and Gina & Matthew's first dance.

Megan & Jason's New Years Eve-Eve Wedding Reception at The Merion Tribute House

Megan and Jason were such a fun couple to work with! They currently reside in Michigan, so most of our communication before their wedding was done via video teleconference and through email. Megan and Jason chose an amazing venue, The Merion Tribute House located on Philadelphia's prestigious Main Line to host their intimate reception. After exchanging vows at a nearby church, Megan & Jason's 140 guests traveled to the Tribute House to celebrate. Cocktails and hors d'oeurves were enjoyed in the Lounge and Legion Room before the guests entered into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. After formal introductions, first dance, blessing, and toasts, a special video was played for Megan & Jason which was created by their Bridal Party. Megan and Jason had also planned a huge surprise for their families and guests by having a Mariachi Band play during dinner. Megan and Jason met in Mexico while on a service trip, so having the band at their reception really meant a lot to them. Stuart G. Stanft Photography captured all the special moments, and I've included one of his collages below, Thanks Stuart!

Christina & Justin's Wedding Reception at LaMassaria at Bella Vista

After a VERY busy fall "wedding season", I'm finally getting back into the swing of things....I had the pleasure of entertaining Christina & Justin's Wedding Reception at one of my favorite venues, LaMassaria at Bella Vista. Christina & Justin's Reception was not the "typical" Reception that most have experienced. Instead of having a "formal" sit-down dinner, the guests enjoyed appetizer stations and passed hors d'oeuvres. This allowed extra time for dancing... and also gave me the chance to start the party almost immediately! I had the pleasure of again working with videographers Amy & Jim from Abominable Productions. Their work is amazing, & I can't wait to see some video highlights! Here's how Christina & Justin's Cocktail Reception went:

6:00pm - Guest Arrival
6:39pm - Bridal Party Introductions
"Country Girl(Shake it For Me) - Luke Bryan
