Melissa & Jon's Winter Wedding on the Mountain

      This was my first (of many) trips up the mountain for 2013. The Bear Creek Mountain Resort & Conference Center is by far one of my favorite wedding venues, and I look forward to every event I entertain there! 

Melissa & Jon's special day began with a short ceremony in a portion of the Mountain Ballroom. I provided red LED uplighting, highlighting their wedding "colors" and adding a little extra flare to the ambiance of the room. After the ceremony, their guests enjoyed a lavish cocktail hour in the foyer before entering the ballroom for dinner and dancing. Melissa & Jon were a lot of fun, and I'm very glad that they chose me to be their Entertainment Director and DJ/MC! Danielle Almond (Almond Photography) is a blast to work alongside, and I hope to do so again in the future!

Back to Berks to Celebrate with Jennifer & Michael

Even though I live in Berks County, this was my first "local" wedding in the past 4 months. Jennifer and Michael were an awesome couple to work with, and their reception was a blast! The Reading Country Club hosted Jennifer & Michael's Ceremony and Reception.

After an elegant indoor ceremony with live string music, Jennifer and Michael took advantage of the beautiful scenery around the grounds of the golf course while posing for photographs with their bridal party. Meanwhile, their guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the back patio outside. The guests entered the ballroom for dinner and dancing just minutes before mother nature began to soak the grounds. After a few formalities and special dances, dinner was served and the dance floor opened.

Lindsay & Jimmy's Wedding Reception at The Abraham Lincoln

What a great way to start off the month a June...... Lindsay & Jimmy's wedding reception rocked! After exchanging vows as a local church, Lindsay, Jimmy and their 175 guests traveled a few blocks of downtown Reading, PA to the Abraham Lincoln Wyndham Hotel to celebrate and let loose. Their reception began with a cocktail hour around the wrap-around balcony overlooking the Hotel lobby, and then proceeded in the Presidential Ballroom. After introductions of the Bridal Party, First Dance, and a welcome speech by Lindsay's Father, We suprised the guests by opening the dance floor for a quick dance by the Beatles, "Twist & Shout". The response was great, and definitely set the tone for what was going to be an awesome reception. Lindsay's request list consisted of some traditional tunes like Dion's "Runaround Sue" and Sly & The Family Stone's "Dance to the Music" as well as some new hits like Brittney Spears "Till the World Ends". Local videographer Daniel Wegman from DW Productions recorded video highlights, while Washington, DC Photographer Mark Anthony captured all the excitement.

Jessica & Brian's Wedding at The Stirling Guest Hotel

After a Friday night Prom and a Saturday night Wedding Reception I headed to the heart of Berks County to the Stirling Guest Hotel for Jessica & Brian's Sunday, May 22nd Wedding. Their day started with a relaxed outdoor ceremony, and then photos around the property while their guests enjoyed cocktails on the patio. Jessica & Brian's 113 guests consisting of family and friends were then seated inside the Stirling awaiting the Introductions while getting a hint of the aromas coming from the scrumptious Dinner Buffet. TJ, Peter and staff from the Stirling Guest Hotel went above and beyond to accomodate the needs of Jessica and Brian. I had the pleasure working along Sandi K Robb Photography through out the day.

Sarah & Andrew chose the elegant Stirling Guest Hotel to host their Wedding and Reception on Saturday, March 26th 2011. The Stirling is a "Chateauesque-styled mansion" , and an amazing place to get married and celebrate in Berks County. Sarah & Andrew's 102 guests packed the Stirling, excited to experience their marriage ceremony and celebrate with family and friends.

Abby & Brian's Wedding Reception - March 19th 2011

Abby & Brian shared their special day on Saturday, March 19th 2011. After exchanging their nuptials at a local church, Abby, Brian and their 146 guests arrived at the Barn at Flying Hills in Reading, PA to celebrate. I've done a few weddings in the past at the Barn, and enjoy the "rustic" atmosphere in the building along with the original hardwood floors. The Barn is located in the center of a Golf Course Village in Berks County. I went to High School with Abby, and it was an honor to be chosen to entertain her friends and family. Abby & Brian wanted their guests to have plenty of time to dance and socialize, so they decided to omit some of the "wedding traditions" like the cake cutting and the bouquet toss. Abby & Brian put their faith in me, and didn't make me a playlist for the reception. I had no problem playing tunes that catered to their guests off all ages, and packing the dance floor through out the entire evening. Martin Miller Photography was capturing all of the action, and Moyer's Catering (seriously.... no relation) made sure no one left hungry.

Lisa & Calvin's Wedding Reception - October 30th 2010

Lisa & Calvin shared their special day on Saturday, October 30th 2010. They tied the knot at a local church and celebrated at The Reading Country Club in Exeter, PA. Since their wedding day fell the night before Halloween, we did a few things that you wouldn't see at your typical reception. During the introductions, the Bridal Party wore various Halloween masks, as well as Lisa & Calvin. I also used fog and strobe lighting effects when each "couple" walked through the entrance way.....It really set the tone for the night. Jeanne from Photography by Dennis L. McDonough was all over the place snapping photos for Lisa and Calvin. Jason from the Phoenix Media Group had a 2 cameras taking video footage of all the dance floor action.

Melissa & Travis planned a fun-filled and romantic day to share and celebrate their wedding with 60 of their closest friends and family members. They took advantage of everything the Stirling Guest Hotel in Reading, PA. had to offer. I provided music and amplification for their outdoor ceremony, music for their cocktail hour which was located around the pool, and entertainment for the Reception inside the Hotel. TJ and Peter at the Stirling Guest Hotel were very accommodating to meet the needs of Melissa & Travis and their guests.
