Partying in Lancaster County - A Memorial Day Weekend Celebration for Devon & Andreas

To wrap up my awesome month of May, I had the pleasure of entertaining the wedding of Devon & Andreas. They chose the amazing Casa di Fiori at the Inn at Leola Village to host their ceremony and reception. It has been a little over a year since my last visit to Leola Village, and I was really looking forward to working at their amazing facility again.

Lauren & Drew's Wedding Day at Riverdale Manor

My fifth trip to Lancaster County this year lead me to Historic Riverdale Manor for Lauren & Drew's Wedding Ceremony and Reception. Due to the massive hurricane (Irene) that swept through the area a few weeks prior, the Ceremony was held outside under the pavilion instead of the grove next to the Conestoga River. I provided music and amplification for their ceremony, as well as wireless microphones. Following the ceremony, Lauren, Drew and their Bridal Party posed for a few photos around the grounds, and then joined their guests on the patio for the remainder of the cocktail hour. The guests then entered the Ballroom, awaiting the formal introductions of the Bridal Party. After Lauren & Drew's grand entrance, they shared their first dance. Before dinner was served there was a blessing and a toast by Lauren's Maid of Honor and Drew's Best Man. Following dinner, Lauren surprised Drew by singing to him..... she sang Adle's "Make You Feel My Love". Amy & Travis's Wedding Reception at the Eden Resort

Amy & Travis's 4th of July weekend wedding started off at a Lancaster County church in Newmanstown, and then continued at The Best Western Premier Eden Resort & Suites in Lancaster, PA. This was my first opportunity working at the Eden Resort, and I was VERY impressed with everything the facility had to offer. After an evening of entertaining, I would have to rate the Eden Resort as one of the top 5 wedding venues in Lancaster County. Amy & Travis's guests enjoyed cocktails and hor'dourves at the Eden while they made a few stops for pictures along the way with photographer Melania Shertzer from Melania Marta Photography and Melania's assistant for the day April Hoffman of ALH Designs (and I "borrowed" a few of their photos to add to my blog... Thanks Melania!). The reception began with introductions, first dance, parent dances, and a remembrance dance, where all guests joined the Bride & Groom on the dance floor honoring family members that had passed. Amy's mother had special suprise planned to take place during dinner..... since Amy & Travis have dated since the 5th grade, her mother had their 5th grade teacher "crash" the reception and made them do a square dance to "Boot Scoot Boogie", just like they had done at school years ago. After dinner, Amy & Travis cut their wedding cake, and then met their bridal party on the dance floor to break it down with Fulkultur's "The Ugly Dance" (check it out @ http://www.theuglydance.com/). Johanna & Mark's Wedding Reception at The Lancaster County Winery

I started my Memorial Day Weekend in Willow Street, PA for Johanna & Mark's Wedding Reception at the Lancaster County Winery . The reception was held outdoors under a tent and the temperature reached nearly 90 degrees...... that didn't stop Johanna & Mark's 210 guests from having an extraordinary and action packed evening with yours truly! Johanna & Mark's guests enjoyed an extended cocktail hour, while they posed for pictures along with their Bridal Party on the property at the winery. Brian from Stardust Photography captured all the special moments, and we always look forward to working together! Wayne from Deswert Productions caught all the action on video, and I'm looking forward to working with him again in the future!

Melania & Doug's Wedding at The Inn at Leola Village

It's always a great privilege to to be a part of a couples wedding day. It's even a bigger privilege and honor to provide services for a fellow wedding professional on their special day! Melania is an extrodinary wedding photographer and it was a pleasure to entertain her family and friends at her wedding. You can check out some of her work at Melania Marta Photography. Although April Fools Day marked the date of Melania & Doug's wedding, they decided to stay away from the jokes and pranks. Instead, Melania & Doug marked their tables with names like "Cliff Lee" and Roy Halladay", in which April 1st, 2011 also hosted the Philadelphia Phillies opening day of baseball. This was my second visit to The Inn at Leola Village in the past few months, and my first Lancaster County wedding of 2011. The Casa di Fiori room at the Inn hosted Melania & Doug's 147 guests, and is where they exchanged their wedding vows and celebrated with family & friends. I provided music for their ceremony, as well as entertainment for the reception. Dan & Rebekah from Simple Life Portraits took care of capturing all the photos for Melania & Doug, and Abby from Abbey Bradshaw Photography was snapping shots at the photobooth (which was a HUGE hit!). I also had the pleasure of working with Heather & Ben from Sugar Leaf Films and they have already put together an AMAZING preview video! (check it out at the bottom of this post).
