I had the pleasure of entertaining Sarah & Brian's Wedding Reception at The Spring Ford Country Club. Sarah & Brian's 170 guests consisting of family and close friends arrived at the Country Club anxious to celebrate after a ceremony at a nearby church. A close colleague of mine, Scott from Flowers by Florabundance helped Sarah decorate the room with her "antique" style theme. Photographer Ben Reeder captured all the special moments.

Christina & Justin's Wedding Reception at LaMassaria at Bella Vista

After a VERY busy fall "wedding season", I'm finally getting back into the swing of things....I had the pleasure of entertaining Christina & Justin's Wedding Reception at one of my favorite venues, LaMassaria at Bella Vista. Christina & Justin's Reception was not the "typical" Reception that most have experienced. Instead of having a "formal" sit-down dinner, the guests enjoyed appetizer stations and passed hors d'oeuvres. This allowed extra time for dancing... and also gave me the chance to start the party almost immediately! I had the pleasure of again working with videographers Amy & Jim from Abominable Productions. Their work is amazing, & I can't wait to see some video highlights! Here's how Christina & Justin's Cocktail Reception went:

6:00pm - Guest Arrival
6:39pm - Bridal Party Introductions
"Country Girl(Shake it For Me) - Luke Bryan
"Teach Me How to Dougie" - Cal. Swag District

Lauren & Drew's Wedding Day at Riverdale Manor

My fifth trip to Lancaster County this year lead me to Historic Riverdale Manor for Lauren & Drew's Wedding Ceremony and Reception. Due to the massive hurricane (Irene) that swept through the area a few weeks prior, the Ceremony was held outside under the pavilion instead of the grove next to the Conestoga River. I provided music and amplification for their ceremony, as well as wireless microphones. Following the ceremony, Lauren, Drew and their Bridal Party posed for a few photos around the grounds, and then joined their guests on the patio for the remainder of the cocktail hour. The guests then entered the Ballroom, awaiting the formal introductions of the Bridal Party. After Lauren & Drew's grand entrance, they shared their first dance. Before dinner was served there was a blessing and a toast by Lauren's Maid of Honor and Drew's Best Man. Following dinner, Lauren surprised Drew by singing to him..... she sang Adle's "Make You Feel My Love". Brooke Courtney Photography took care of capturing all the special moments as well as providing their Smilebooth. Check out some great photos on their blog

Ashley & Trevor's Wedding Reception at The Inn at Reading

On Saturday, September 10th.... one of the most popular wedding dates in 2011, I had the pleasure of being a part of Ashley and Trevor's wedding reception at The Inn at Reading in Wyomissing, PA. The ballroom looked very sharp with the color combination of black and white on through out the table linens and chair covers. Ashley & Trevor tied the knot at a nearby church, and then traveled to the Inn to celebrate with family & friends. The guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while Ashley, Trevor and their Bridal Party posed for photos outside. After formal introductions, a blessing, and a few toasts from the Bridal Party, dinner was served. Before the "party" started, Ashley & Trevor cut their wedding cake, and then Ashley and her Father, and Trevor and his Mother shared a special dance together. Later on in the evening the Bouquet and Garter toss took place, as well as a traditional dollar dance, where guests had the opportunity to share a quick dance with the Bride & Groom. Ryann & Daniel's Wedding Reception at The Columbia Station

Believe it or not.... this was the first wedding I've done at The Columbia Station when it wasn't raining! After a long span of hot and humid (and rainy) Saturday wedding receptions this year, the weather has finally turned into perfect "wedding weather". Ryann & Daniel's wedding day was actually the first time I got to meet Ryann. She has been living in Boston, so most of our communication was done via email and telephone calls. After a wedding ceremony at a local church, Ryann & Daniel's 210 guests consisting of family and friends traveled to Robert Ryan Catering's Columbia Station to celebrate. The guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while Ryann, Daniel, and their Bridal Party posed for pictures taken by Joell Gramacy. The guests then found their seats in the ballroom, and we proceded with formal introductions, dances, toasts and a blessing before dinner was served. Ryann & Daniel compiled a playlist of some "traditional" wedding classics including Jump 'N The Saddle's "Curly Shuffle" and Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline, and I also mixed in some newer songs. Whether I was playing an oldie or a top 40 hit, the dance floor was packed the entire night. Ryann & Daniel were a pleasure to work with, and I had a great time entertaining their guests! Amanda & James's Wedding Reception at The Warrington Township Country Club

Amanda & James celebrated their wedding day in style.......Philadelphia Phillies style. I am a HUGE phillies fan, so entertaining Amanda & James's reception was a blast! This was my second wedding of my "double-header" Saturday, July 16th. DJ Jonathan Vining assisted me at the Joseph Ambler Inn for Sonya and Brandon's daytime wedding reception in nearby North Wales, and then we made the 25 minute trip to the Warrington Country Club for Amanda & James's reception. Their reception began in the Briar Rose room, where Amanda & James's 190 guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, while we provided a remote sound system to play background music for the guests to enjoy. The guests then moved into the Wedgewood Ballroom, awaiting introductions of the Bridal Party. Upon entering the Ballroom, the guests were "wowed" by the vintage and current photos of Phillies players displayed on the tables, as well as the custom printed rally towells placed at each seat. The reception began full of excitement and energy, as I had all the guests waive their rally towells in the air while welcoming the Bridal Party into the Ballroom. Following the introductions, Amanda & James shared a first dance before dinner began. Duca Studios had 2 photographers on hand capturing all the excitement.

Amy & Travis's Wedding Reception at the Eden Resort

Amy & Travis's 4th of July weekend wedding started off at a Lancaster County church in Newmanstown, and then continued at The Best Western Premier Eden Resort & Suites  in Lancaster, PA. This was my first opportunity working at the Eden Resort, and I was VERY impressed with everything the facility had to offer. After an evening of entertaining, I would have to rate the Eden Resort as one of the top 5 wedding venues in Lancaster County. Amy & Travis's guests enjoyed cocktails and  hor'dourves at the Eden while they made a few stops for pictures along the way with photographer Melania Shertzer from Melania Marta Photography and Melania's assistant for the day April Hoffman of ALH Designs (and I "borrowed" a few of their photos to add to my blog... Thanks Melania!). The reception began with introductions, first dance, parent dances, and a remembrance dance, where all guests joined the Bride & Groom on the dance floor honoring family members that had passed. Amy's mother had special suprise planned to take place during dinner..... since Amy & Travis have dated since the 5th grade, her mother had their 5th grade teacher "crash" the reception and made them do a square dance to "Boot Scoot Boogie", just like they had done at school years ago. After dinner, Amy & Travis cut their wedding cake, and then met their bridal party on the dance floor to break it down with Fulkultur's "The Ugly Dance" (check it out @ http://www.theuglydance.com/).
