Celebrating with Sharks at the Adventure Aquarium

The Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey is by far one of the most unique venues I have had the opportunity to host a wedding day celebration. Think about it.... where else can you witness a wedding ceremony, eat, drink, and dance, all while being surrounded by some of the world's most fascinating creatures? The celebration began when Joy & Tim exchanged vows in a portion of the Currents Ballroom right in front of the aquarium's  550,000 gallon Shark Realm

After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the Rotunda and had the opportunity to explore the aquarium while Tim & Joy and their Bridal Party posed for photos in front of thousands of underwater creatures. The reception began with an explosive custom first dance song remixed to "I Walk the Line" by Johnny Cash and "The Boogie Bumper" by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

Tim is a DJ in New York, so being a DJ for a fellow DJ is always fun! Joy had contacted me months before their big day and let me in on a little surprise she had planned for her new husband-to-be. She had secretly purchased the DJ mixer he always dreamed of owning.... the Allen & Heath DB4. The mixer was hidden inside his custom-made grooms cake, and was a huge hit when he began trying to cut into it!!

Special Songs from Joy & Tim's Wedding:

Ceremony Processional: "Jaws Theme", "Canon in D", and "Ode to Joy"

Groom & Mother Dance: "A Song for My Son" by Donna Lee Honeywell
Bride & Uncle Dance: "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
