Even though I live in Berks County, this was my first "local" wedding in the past 4 months. Jennifer and Michael were an awesome couple to work with, and their reception was a blast! The Reading Country Club hosted Jennifer & Michael's Ceremony and Reception.
After an elegant indoor ceremony with live string music, Jennifer and Michael took advantage of the beautiful scenery around the grounds of the golf course while posing for photographs with their bridal party. Meanwhile, their guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the back patio outside. The guests entered the ballroom for dinner and dancing just minutes before mother nature began to soak the grounds. After a few formalities and special dances, dinner was served and the dance floor opened.
Here's a few short clips from Jennifer & Michael's Reception:

Lauren & Greg's Wedding Reception ROCKED!! Located at Third & Arch Streets in Old City, the TRUST venue hosted their 260 guests that were looking forward to partying until they were forced to stop! The TRUST venue is like no other, emitting classical opulence, sophistication and elegance. The centerpiece of the Grand Hall's crystal chandelier glistens while being enveloped by a dramatic wrap-around marble balcony. Constructed in 1850 and formerly known as the Girard Corn Exchange Bank, it has also been home to MTV's "Real World" Philadelphia in 2004.
Before entering the TRUST venue, Lauren, Greg, and their guests were treated with a lavish cocktail hour outside next door at the historical Betsy Ross House. (If you don't know who Betsy Ross is, ask a fourth grader to fill you in on some American History). Scrumptious hours d'oeuvres were enjoyed along with a cheesesteak station.

Lauren & Greg had a lot of specific music requests, including "Summertime" by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince which I played to kick-off the night when the dance floor opened. They also chose the last 6 songs they wanted to end the evening with: "Into the Mystic" by Van Morrison, "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" by McFadden & Whitehead, "Motown Philly" by Boyz II Men, "Rosa Parks" by Outkast, "Forever" by Chris Brown, and the cap off the night..... "Born To Run" by Bruce Springsteen.
Two weeks ago, I performed yet another fun-filled reception at Robert Ryan Catering's Columbia Station in Phoenixville, PA. for Kathleen and Izudin. This one was a little different ..... the Groom was Bosnian. After asking a few of my fellow Silver Sound DJs, and searching through various websites, I couldn't find any advice or guidanceabout Bosnian Wedding Traditions, or Bosnian Music. With some help from Izzy's cousin, I was presented with a list of some traditional and fun Bosnian dance songs they wanted to hear during their reception. After contributing to all the stockholders of Apple Inc., I added some great Bosnian tracks to my already extensive music library. Some of the artists included Esad Plavi, Rizo Hamidovic, and Dino Merlin. It was great experience getting the opportunity to play music that I wasn't familiar with. Bosnian music is a mixture of the national Slavic folklore with some Turkish influences from the western part of the world.
Here's a few video clips of some of the Bosnian music played during Izzy & Kathleen's Reception:
Besides for playing about a dozen Bosnian songs, Kathleen & Izzy's reception went on just like our traditional American Wedding Celebration! Congratulations Kathleen & Izudin!
A lot is happening in Valley Forge! With the addition of the new casino, The Valley Forge Casino Resort, the Radisson Hotel boasts plenty of extra amenities to offer to engaged couples looking for the perfect place to host their upcoming wedding. Recently, Silver Sound participated in The "Girls Night Out" Magic Moments Bridal Show. The Grand Ballroom was setup for a "mock" wedding reception, where future brides could enjoy an evening out with their mothers and bridesmaids while enjoying cocktails and dinner.
Silver Sound DJ Michael Kane displayed his artistic mixing skills, while I showcased my LED uplighting to enhance the mood of the Grand Ballroom.
Downstairs, The Independence Ballroom hosted the Magic Moments Bridal Show, where myself, Vaughn Walter, and Paul Evans assisted Brides with their quest of finding the perfect entertainment for their upcoming celebration. Many wedding professionals displayed their specialities, including Kelsey Gilland (A Little Soiree), Stardust Photography Studio, and Mark Kingsdorf (The Queen of Hearts).
The month of March came to a close with an awesome celebration at Robert Ryan Catering'sColumbia Station in Phoenixville, PA. I ALWAYS enjoy entertaining at the Columbia Station, as the facility is amazing and the staff members are always a pleasure to work along side! Jean Marie & Michael wed at a nearby church, and then arrived at the Columbia Station along with their 160 guests consisting of family and close friends. The evening began with cocktails and hors d'oeurves in the lounge area, and then dinner and dancing in the main ballroom. Jean Marie & Michael's color theme was red and silver for their special day, so I decorated the ballroom with red LED uplighting for the majority of their reception, and then changed the lighting to "sound-active" mode for the last hour, raising the energy level and ambiance of the ballroom.

Believe it or not, March 24th was the first Wedding of 2012 at LaMassaria at Bella Vista, and I had the honor of entertaining it! Julia & Stephen were an awesome couple, and everyone had a great time at their reception! Rick & Maria from Rick Blanco Photography captured all the special moments through out the day, and also provided me with a few stunning photos to share. Julia & Stephen wed at a church in nearby Schwenksville, and then made their way to LaMassaria in Gilbertsville, PA to celebrate along with their 125 guests consisting of family and friends.
The room was decorated with bright flower arrangements from Flowers by Florabundance , as well as "button" themed centerpieces created by Julia. An elegant cake from Dice's Creative Cakes was enjoyed by all. The evening began with an hour of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the first floor at LaMassaria, and then upstairs for dinner and dancing.
